A Valentine’s-inspired card set
showcasing six Astrobrights paper colors
I created a promotional card package to showcase six colors from Neenah Paper’s Astrobrights line. Instead of simply printing the colors on a page, I made each card from the actual colored paper it represents. The result is a hands-on paper sampler that lets people see and feel the colors while exploring how designs look when printed on them. I chose a Valentine’s Day theme because the pink, red, and purple tones naturally fit the occasion.
Sketches
I explored a compact, horizontal card format that would be easy to print, handle, and collect as a set. Each card was designed around one of the six selected Astrobrights colors. The Valentine’s theme guided the illustrations and typography while letting each paper color stand out.
Design
The finished package brings together six numbered Valentine’s-themed cards, each produced on its corresponding Astrobrights paper color. That material choice is the heart of the concept: the cards are both the design and the physical paper samples. The printed graphics show how ink and artwork appear against each colored sheet, and accompanying information cards provide paper details such as size and basis weight.

Motion
I also translated the card designs into an 18-second promotional animation. Quick, playful transitions introduce the Valentine’s theme and give viewers a preview of the six-color collection. The motion piece extends the printed sampler into a digital format while keeping the same visual personality.
